Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Joel Gaona made the kick off and thus started the match. Edin Džeko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. In the 12th minute Medero Gadea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18thth minute of the game Edin Džeko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Grzegorz Siekierski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 20th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Grzegorz Siekierski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edin Džeko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. GeRaÇãO-83's supporters rose to their feet, but Medero Gadea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edin Džeko to make the kick off.
