After 52 minutes of play, Sentimiento Auriazul's Felix Johans made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Johans in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 70th match minute, Sentimiento Auriazul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisito Behe to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Hinkler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
