In the 6th minute, Cassius Byrne left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 13 minutes, Monty Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Monty Rogers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nick Stark in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marco Day, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 洪斌鹏 didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Monty Rogers went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 23 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nick Stark. 洪斌鹏 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 康浩挺 in the 29th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, 康浩挺 managed to get in a good position for a shot. ≮王者归来≯湖北经管学院's supporters rose to their feet, but 康浩挺 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edward Mcdonald in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 洪斌鹏 saved ≮王者归来≯湖北经管学院 from getting behind. 34 minutes into the game, 康浩挺 recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marco Day. 康浩挺 showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Cassius Byrne made the kick off in the second half. 洪斌鹏 made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. Jacob Mays short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got 洪斌鹏 to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Monty Rogers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 洪斌鹏 having to make a save. In the 80th minute of the match, Monty Rogers tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but 洪斌鹏 saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 82 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Jenson Smith. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. In the 83rd match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jenson Smith to maneuver through the defense. When Sam Campbell came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the USA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sam Campbell couldn't finish the play. 洪斌鹏 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jenson Smith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over USA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ≮王者归来≯湖北经管学院 throughout the match.
