Wlodzimierz Dawiec stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. In the 15th minute, Tobias Nyberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 18 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wlodzimierz Dawiec was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Nyberg in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of Mörbyhus Palace booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wlodzimierz Dawiec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of play. Mörbyhus Palace's Wlodzimierz Dawiec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of play. Wlodzimierz Dawiec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 39th minute of the match. Mörbyhus Palace's Martin Söderqwist got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kenny Carlsson made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kenny Carlsson in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wlodzimierz Dawiec having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Mörbyhus Palace's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Wlodzimierz Dawiec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andreas Axelsson kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 70th minute of play forced Mörbyhus Palace's goalkeeper Wlodzimierz Dawiec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mörbyhus Palace's Wlodzimierz Dawiec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 71st minute of play. Wlodzimierz Dawiec made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Agustín Saelices sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute Ingemar Tolsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenny Carlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenny Carlsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Mörbyhus Palace's Kenny Carlsson got a free kick in the 89th minute. Linus Hellsing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mörbyhus Palace's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. In the 98th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
