The corner led Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Pedro Luís Alvarenga to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Manzanares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Luiz Gustavo do Valle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Luiz Gustavo do Valle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. The corner led Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Pedro Luís Alvarenga to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Manzanares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Amerigo Muzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Luiz Gustavo do Valle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Amerigo Muzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 27th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo do Valle in the 32nd minute of play. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Luiz Gustavo do Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Floripa Lions FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandão Faria to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Gustavo do Valle to strike the kick off in the second half. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Amerigo Muzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Floripa Lions FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. A nice corner shot did that Axel Montenegro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Amerigo Muzi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Aloísio Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amerigo Muzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goalkeeper Amerigo Muzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 60th minute of play forced Floripa Lions FSCMZ's goalkeeper Amerigo Muzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Abram Sarmiento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amerigo Muzi was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. With a left leg Amerigo Muzi saved Floripa Lions FSCMZ from getting behind. After 70 minutes Floripa Lions FSCMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kevin Mastache who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Colombia's Kevin Mastache to fire away a dangerous shot which Amerigo Muzi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Abram Secada in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amerigo Muzi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hortêncio Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Tafalla got free with Amerigo Muzi in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Carlos Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Amerigo Muzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 94th minute of the match. Hortêncio Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Floripa Lions FSCMZ.
