Vahdet Ulumeriç scored 2-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vahdet Ulumeriç could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vahdet Ulumeriç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vahdet Ulumeriç went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score.
