In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bancruz F.C's goalkeeper Ciro Nerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Turgay Hafi got free with Rolando Noboa in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Peru booed when Bancruz F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Driver didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Turgay Hafi in the 27th minute of the match. Bancruz F.C's Turgay Hafi managed to work through Peru's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlos Arixo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience was convinced that Turgay Hafi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 40th minute, Clodoveo Matro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Bancruz F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Luz Tejedor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ciro Nerio quite easily take care of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Peru were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Bancruz F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Bancruz F.C's goalkeeper Ciro Nerio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. 92 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciro Nerio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 95 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
