Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vicente Berto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Berto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Vicente Berto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play forced Real Ayuntamiento CF's goalkeeper Vicente Berto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vicente Berto quite easily take care of the ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vicente Berto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vicente Berto. Real Ayuntamiento CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. Vicente Berto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The Real Ayuntamiento CF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
