Torino FC's Hans-Hermann Spieler started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomás Bonifaco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans-Hermann Spieler's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. 12 minutes into the game, one of Torino FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 13 minutes of play, Peru's Luz Tejedor made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomás Bonifaco was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Torino FC's goalkeeper Tomás Bonifaco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of play forced Torino FC's goalkeeper Tomás Bonifaco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans-Hermann Spieler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Tomás Bonifaco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Torino FC's goalkeeper Tomás Bonifaco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julian Murillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Bonifaco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julian Murillo ran back to his position shaking his head. Pankracy Imbor kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Hans-Hermann Spieler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torino FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hans-Hermann Spieler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans-Hermann Spieler in the 40th minute of the match. Tomás Bonifaco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Tomás Bonifaco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 45th minute of the match. Peru were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Torino FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Milagros Fraga got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tomás Bonifaco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Julian Murillo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tomás Bonifaco. That made the score 0-3 in the 53 minute of play. Torino FC's Tomás Bonifaco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Torino FC from getting a goal against them. In the 56th minute, Milagros Fraga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tomás Bonifaco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 70th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Bonifaco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Torino FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Pankracy Imbor made in the 76th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Abelardo Tonio. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Torino FC's goalkeeper Tomás Bonifaco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, Arí da Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Torino FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peru the free kick. In the 80th minute, Arí da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. After 81 played minutes Torino FC got a freekick which was hit by Arí da Fonseca. 87 minutes into the match, Torino FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Gallo came free, but Tomás Bonifaco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Torino FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eliseo Mina ran over to the corner to take the kick. Eliseo Mina made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Torino FC's Tomás Bonifaco managed to reach the ball for a save. During the 95th minute of the match Arí da Fonseca completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Arí da Fonseca a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Arí da Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Peru walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
