Ezequiel Gagriel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. In the 24thth minute of the game Prospero Eusko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 25 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Moises Demario who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ezequiel Gagriel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Andino might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ezequiel Gagriel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Andino ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 33rd minute, Prospero Eusko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ezequiel Gagriel was left in no man's land by his defense there! 44 minutes into the match, Uriel Grabiel notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The Beatles AC's Hugo Savier was substituted for Prospero Eusko. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Jacobo Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. The Beatles AC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ezequiel Gagriel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ezequiel Gagriel in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Savier in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75th match minute, The Beatles AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Machado to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Gagriel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 played minutes The Beatles AC got a freekick which was hit by Filiberto Mikolas. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ezequiel Gagriel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 87th minute of play. 96 minutes into the game, The Beatles AC's Jacobo Machado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1.
