Haiti's Noel Seide proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Haiti from getting a goal against them. With 14 minutes on the clock, Ernso Constant commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Ernso Constant kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Haiti's goalkeeper Noel Seide had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Idalécio Araújo. If Gesner Philippe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 19th match minute, Sporting Vila Facaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albérico Prates to maneuver through the defense. After 22 played minutes Sporting Vila Facaia got a freekick which was hit by Rui Gago. 28 minutes into the match, Gesner Philippe notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Sporting Vila Facaia's Homero Carrasqueira. Homero Carrasqueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Gesner Philippe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haiti's supporters rose to their feet, but Gesner Philippe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Homero Carrasqueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Alphonse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jean Marie Alcius made in the 44th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Philippe Ambroise however managed to control. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gesner Philippe made a kick off. Haiti's Rodney Emmanuel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by José Castelo Branco in the 53 minute of the game. A collision led to Haiti getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Saint Jean Pierre hit a great ball. Idalécio Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes into the game, Rui Gago threw the ball into play from the sideline. Haiti's Saint Jean Pierre quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Jesus in the 67th minute of play forced Haiti's goalkeeper Noel Seide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Felix Dorval reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Homero Carrasqueira. The goal made the score 0-3. In the 89th minute Idalécio Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Seide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean Marie Alcius kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Cristóvão Ferrão made in the 95th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Rui Gago.
