In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind FlagellumDei's goalkeeper Siro Osasun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Siro Osasun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of the match. After 24 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Siro Osasun was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siro Osasun having to interfere. Siro Osasun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tibor Pucheli in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in FlagellumDei's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Siro Osasun came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Lukács Baróti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Siro Osasun. FlagellumDei's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Siro Osasun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 43rd minute Zoltán Kozák shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FlagellumDei's Endre Döbrögi got a free kick in the 44th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibor Pucheli in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. FlagellumDei's Tibor Pucheli got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Siro Osasun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute Tibor Pucheli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoltán Kozák, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Félix Moravecz in the 75th minute of play. When Felix Montes fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Felix Montes a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. In the 77th minute, Tibor Pucheli sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ecuador's Julio Vera didn't even have to move. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoltán Kozák, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
