Fernando Belo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's Rogelio Mergildo got a free kick in the 24th minute. The Colombia fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Colombia's Abram Sarmiento looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Romulo Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's supporters rose to their feet, but Romulo Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Torres in the 33rd minute of play. Fernando Belo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After some careless play in the Cantera Leales Sin Pagar defense, Abram Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Belo. The Cantera Leales Sin Pagar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Belo should have stopped the shot. After the first half Colombia were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's Lino Orlo was substituted for Emilio Quinten. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horacio Quinteros went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's attentive Edelmiro Eli managed to snatch the ball when Luis Cazalla made a throw-in in the 61st minute of the game. 64 minutes into the match, Horacio Quinteros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horacio Quinteros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 66th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. Horacio Quinteros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. In the 73rd minute of the match Cantera Leales Sin Pagar got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emanuel Cefero ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fernando Belo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 74th minute of play. Luis Cazalla charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Cazalla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horacio Quinteros's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Horacio Quinteros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Horacio Quinteros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 86 minutes, Kevin Mastache mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colombia and the Cantera Leales Sin Pagar players grew even worse after the yellow card. 95 minutes into the match, Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's Horacio Quinteros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ignacio Mastache could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Fernando Belo made a huge save. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
