Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gösta Söderberg in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 6th minute of play forced Hammarby IF's goalkeeper Holger Vester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Controller Serapio kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Hammarby IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. In the 16th minute, Venezuela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gösta Söderberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hammarby IF's goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Totti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Francesco Totti was slow to take the kick. During this time Hammarby IF's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Frans Mossberg heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Hammarby IF were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Francesco Totti took the corner. Hammarby IF's Francesco Totti was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 37th minute of the match Hammarby IF got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Francesco Totti ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Blanco Mera to score against Jonathan Ferrant in Venezuela's goal. 1-1 after 38 minutes. After 40 played minutes Hammarby IF got a freekick which was hit by Controller Serapio. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Holger Vester having to interfere. Hammarby IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Francesco Totti in the 47th minute. Gösta Söderberg was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celedonio Dominguez made a kick off. Francesco Totti scored 2-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Celedonio Dominguez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Gösta Söderberg scored 3-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Totti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ola Bremming hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Holger Vester. Holger Vester dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. After having played for 95 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hammarby IF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
