Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Sporting Buceo's Isaias Jakue started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 4 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Yao Yan Sen who took care of the corner kick. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Maximo Horquizar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maximo Horquizar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yao Yan Sen was slow to take the kick. During this time Sporting Buceo's players had a chance to rest. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Jakue in the 27th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Cristian Sancho put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Maximo Horquizar. Maximo Horquizar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Sporting Buceo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Felix Montes managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 45th minute Isaias Jakue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Sartori hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, Sporting Buceo's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Maximo Horquizar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Sporting Buceo's Maximo Horquizar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Buceo from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Isaias Jakue's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Maximo Horquizar made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Isaias Jakue blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Buceo's Isaias Jakue. But to his dismay, Isaias Jakue quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Sporting Buceo made a substitution. Charly Good replaced Filimon Gamburtsev. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximo Horquizar having to interfere. Charly Good received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Charly Good hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xinto Carreiras in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Charly Good ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
