The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with 周寒政 in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of 周寒政 when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
