The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Richard Mccarthy hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Koby Wright in the 10th minute of the match. Koby Wright took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodriguinho Sousa. Rodriguinho Sousa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Rohan Watson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodriguinho Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carter George, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Koby Wright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 minutes Canada's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gu Zhan Cheng who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Gu Zhan Cheng got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jax Williamson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jax Williamson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Deilmison van Basten's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the ATHLETICO PRaiano defense, Koby Wright kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodriguinho Sousa. The ATHLETICO PRaiano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodriguinho Sousa should have stopped the shot. Jax Williamson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gu Zhan Cheng, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute, Heitor Maldini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute of the match Koby Wright sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodriguinho Sousa skillfully saved the ball. In the 42nd minute Carter George shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jax Williamson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Koby Wright to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Koby Wright managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Koby Wright was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Koby Wright in the 58th minute of play. Canada made a substitution. Filip Edwards replaced Koby Wright. Rodriguinho Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luka Harris in the 77th minute. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Edwards in the 82nd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Edwards came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Deilmison van Basten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jax Williamson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save ATHLETICO PRaiano from getting a goal against them. If Theo Burton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Canada left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ATHLETICO PRaiano.
