Alonso Berganza made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt managed to reach the ball for a save. Rene Vereijt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, William Westelinx notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. William Westelinx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. FC Ouagadougou National's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hamza Yavaş in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 44th minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baba R. Hansen kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when William Westelinx stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Eliseo Mina dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rene Vereijt, 2-1. Rene Vereijt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 62nd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, William Westelinx cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 69th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Vereijt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Emmanuel Reyes hit a great ball. FC Ouagadougou National made a substitution. Jedrzej Kiszkiel replaced William Westelinx. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Alonso Berganza fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rene Vereijt quite easily take care of the ball. FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Ouagadougou National from getting a goal against them. After 91 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Reyes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jedrzej Kiszkiel in the 96th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jedrzej Kiszkiel's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, FC Ouagadougou National could leave the field as winners, despite Peru having more of the ball for most of the match.
