ROSÁRIO SPORT's Luiz Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 42nd minute of play. Dean Harvey's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dean Harvey helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Felix Luque got a free kick in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Ture Möllgren was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 66th minute Alexandros Krieser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ROSÁRIO SPORT's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Luiz Corrêa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Gaona in the 71st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Luiz Corrêa in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
