Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Betão Vargas made the kick off and thus started the match. Tony Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 9th minute of play. Agustín Saelices was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. SE Palestra Itália's Tony Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Clayton Sergi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 16th minute, Betão Vargas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Caetano Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Clayton Sergi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SE Palestra Itália's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when SE Palestra Itália was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clayton Sergi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caetano Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Tony Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tony Chaves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The SE Palestra Itália fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when SE Palestra Itália's Clayton Sergi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Clayton Sergi struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SE Palestra Itália. Tony Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Betão Vargas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 61st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Tony Chaves despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Chaves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Tony Chaves made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tony Chaves. That made the score 3-2 in the 66 minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clayton Sergi in the 71st minute of the match. Tony Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by SE Palestra Itália's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Luis Andino was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tony Chaves, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tony Chaves quite easily take care of the ball. Cristian Sancho had several of the SE Palestra Itália's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 78 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-3 score and a disappointed Tony Chaves as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 3-4 from a short distance just to the right of Tony Chaves. Adalberto Custódio missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 94 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Julio Vera right hand side. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
