Nassos Stamatelopoulos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Bruno Barrett made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lykurgos Chellos in the 10th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Lykurgos Chellos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruno Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lykurgos Chellos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute Lykurgos Chellos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Davies in the 24th minute of play forced Apollon Limassol's goalkeeper Teo Constancio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kyle Davies was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Apollon Limassol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aison Manoukarakis to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute Nassos Stamatelopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lykurgos Chellos scored 4-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Barrett, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th minute, Lykurgos Chellos made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Bruno Barrett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nassos Stamatelopoulos went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. In the 67th minute, Nassos Stamatelopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nassos Stamatelopoulos in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Barrett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Apollon Limassol were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
