Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Armando Natalucci took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Clemente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Glasgow Rangers FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cassius Byrne was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Lauaxeta, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Marco Day came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Glasgow Rangers FC's Nestor Lauaxeta. But to his dismay, Nestor Lauaxeta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marco Day came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Glasgow Rangers FC's Armando Natalucci. With his leg Dave Clemente managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when USA's Cassius Byrne fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ettore Placidi in the 26th minute of the match. Antonio Riccitelli hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Armando Natalucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dave Clemente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 37th minute of play. With a little luck, Glasgow Rangers FC's Dave Clemente got control of the ball when Cassius Byrne tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cassius Byrne to make the kick off. Glasgow Rangers FC's Dave Clemente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 67th minute of play. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ettore Placidi, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Glasgow Rangers FC's Ettore Placidi managed to work through USA's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ettore Placidi dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Glasgow Rangers FC's Carlo Attili was substituted for Armando Natalucci. Dave Clemente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jenson Smith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Monty Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Clemente having to interfere. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. Sam Campbell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Clemente having to interfere. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Ettore Placidi sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th minute Carlo Attili shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nestor Lauaxeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ettore Placidi in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. Dave Clemente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sam Campbell, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Glasgow Rangers FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
