If 梅响庭 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Huly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 14th minute of play forced FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goalkeeper Mazinho Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 梅响庭's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Heiko Iepstra took the corner. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 梅响庭 made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 23rdth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Jonathan Ferrant would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Venezuela's attentive Alex Chicote managed to snatch the ball when Durvalino Barros made a throw-in in the 25th minute of the game. In the 27th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazinho Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Diego Di Toma came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Di Toma couldn't finish the play. 梅响庭 was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 30th minute. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, 梅响庭 put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Jonathan Huly took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 梅响庭, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazinho Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 梅响庭 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Diego Di Toma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that 梅响庭's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 60th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Huly took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 69th minute. The throw-in from 秦坚永 in the 72nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Jose Correa. The supporters of FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute of the match 秦坚永 shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 78th minute, 梅响庭 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 梅响庭 in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Diego Di Toma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Diego Di Toma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's 梅响庭 in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. After 91 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. 94 minutes into the game, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's 梅响庭 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
