The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edmundo Espiga was slow to take the kick. During this time Honduras's players had a chance to rest. Carlos Alberto Souto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. The corner ended in Edmundo Espiga almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s Carlos Alberto Souto did a great save. Carlos Alberto Souto came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Honduras's Emanuel Ocampo. But to his dismay, Emanuel Ocampo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. With his leg Carlos Alberto Souto managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 37th minute of play forced IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Alberto Souto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Espiga went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Alberto Souto saved IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. from getting behind. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Edmundo Espiga sped through IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carlos Alberto Souto. Carlos Alberto Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 64th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Honduras booed when IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
