The audience was convinced that 梅响庭's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Mazinho Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 梅响庭 in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mazinho Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Uruguay. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA. Heiko Iepstra stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joaquin Gayoso. 0-4.

The wind increased when Francisco Seco made the kick off in the second half. Maximiliano Escribano took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mazinho Barreto. Mazinho Barreto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. In the 62nd minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazinho Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mazinho Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Gisbert to maneuver through the defense.
