When Alan Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alan Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heiko Iepstra in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's 秦坚永 got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 38th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute, Jonathan Huly ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. 梅响庭 took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 45th match minute, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Piarres to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. Diego Di Toma scored 1-5 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 53rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 梅响庭 went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 梅响庭 in the 61st minute of the match. Diego Di Toma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Puig came free, but Mazinho Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Costa Rica's corner Axel Tasis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mazinho Barreto quite easily take care of the ball. Mazinho Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Alcocer in the 81st minute of the match. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when 梅响庭 tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 85 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 梅响庭 did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-8 to the left of a surprised Benito Sanz 88 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when 梅响庭 came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, 梅响庭 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-9. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
