Shota Stopa came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Just Fontaine in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th match minute, Pezerik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavian Rutgeerts to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Peru booed when Pezerik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wart Goegebeur didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Shota Stopa in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ismael Marques, made in the 89th minute of the game. Rafael Gallo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Shota Stopa made a huge save. With his leg Shota Stopa managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Peru's Rafael Gallo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 92 minutes into the game, Ismael Marques threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some careless play in the Pezerik defense, Rafael Gallo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shota Stopa. The Pezerik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shota Stopa should have stopped the shot.
