Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) AFA Club's Hermínio Medeiros started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hermínio Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 5th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The throw-in from Hugo Ferrant in the 9th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by AFA Club's Júlio Sá. In the 11th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 17th minute of play forced AFA Club's goalkeeper Renatinho Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliseo Noboa during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 20 minutes into the game, when Alexander Carballo put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Costa Rica fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Benito Sanz, was totally fooled by AFA Club's Richard Tinoco, who 22 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 35 minutes, Leopoldo Maranhense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFA Club and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. AFA Club:s Renatinho Jacinto showed great skill when he stopped Axel Tasis:s penalty. When Hermínio Medeiros fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFA Club's protests and gave Hermínio Medeiros a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, AFA Club's Hermínio Medeiros got a free kick in the 38th minute. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Medeiros in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Alan Moruga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFA Club the free kick. When Lautaro Puig came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Puig couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eliseo Noboa made a kick off. The supporters of AFA Club booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Lautaro Puig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, AFA Club's goalkeeper Renatinho Jacinto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Puig. 67 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Medeiros came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mané Gonçalves hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After 73 minutes of play AFA Club's Leopoldo Maranhense was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, AFA Club's Leopoldo Maranhense got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute, Lautaro Puig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Renatinho Jacinto. That made the score 1-1 after 89 minutes of play. Hugo Ferrant made in the 96th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AFA Club's Júlio Sá. AFA Club were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Costa Rica to leave the ground with a draw.
