Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Caetano Saad's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ricardo Zorita firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Udo Nigula in the 15th minute of the match. Ricardo Zorita stood somewhat misplaced when Zhuo Chao Chuan came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 21 minute. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhuo Chao Chuan in the 24th minute of play. Ricardo Zorita was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zhuo Chao Chuan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 27 minute of play. After 30 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Carvallo. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhuo Chao Chuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moises Fernandino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zhuo Chao Chuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zhuo Chao Chuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Leo Iigo got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Renato Quadros was substituted for Jorge Pires.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moises Fernandino was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abram Luque to maneuver through the defense. Udo Nigula blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Zorita having to make a save. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Udo Nigula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Leo Iigo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhuo Chao Chuan in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Yepes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhuo Chao Chuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The throw-in from Anísio Koehler in the 93rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by El Salvador's Jesus Carvallo. Anísio Koehler took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. CE LAJEADENSE RS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
