Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shelton Flanagan in the 18th minute of play. Aníbal Lorenzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerald Bradshaw made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. 24 minutes into the match, The Team FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Aníbal Lorenzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
