Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but 袁鹏烨 showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. 24 minutes in the game, 袁鹏烨 fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. In the 39th minute 袁鹏烨 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
