An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 20th minute of play forced QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s goalkeeper Kristopher Johnson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miroslav Klose, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C.'s Aleksey Denisov got a free kick in the 37th minute. Kristopher Johnson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 40th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Miroslav Klose might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miroslav Klose ran back to his position shaking his head. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslav Klose in the 58th minute of play. After 70 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Macos Graciani. Miroslav Klose's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 78th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristopher Johnson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute Miroslav Klose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miroslav Klose went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Mexico's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because QUINTA DAS LUZES F.C. had won, even though Mexico had held more of the ball.
