But to his dismay, Behçet Alp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 38 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Behçet Alp. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Andriy Shevchenko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Behçet Alp in the 80th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Farafulla FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Farafulla FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
