The supporters of MC ESPANHOL booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Máximo Palma in the 16th minute of play. MC ESPANHOL's Teófilo Belém played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 22nd minute of play forced MC ESPANHOL's goalkeeper Teófilo Belém to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 51st minute Virgílio Serpa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Teófilo Belém was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teófilo Belém having to make a save. 58 minutes into the match, MC ESPANHOL's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Teófilo Belém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teófilo Belém. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostas Sourpis in the 75th minute of the match. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kostas Sourpis, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Chile were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after MC ESPANHOL's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Lacasa took the corner. Chile's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
