But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Escribano couldn't finish the play. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvestre Fernandes was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. Rio Gallegos Unidos's Roman Iza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Rio Gallegos Unidos from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roman Iza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Iza having to interfere. In the 94th minute Emilio Nuno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ubaldo Gilen charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ubaldo Gilen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jaime Cazalla placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rio Gallegos Unidos had won after a very even match.
