Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Pedro Donatello started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Eurico Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. If Laércio Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laércio Loureiro. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de São Paulo's Laércio Loureiro. But to his dismay, Laércio Loureiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Laércio Loureiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laércio Loureiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Predrag Djordjević kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 31 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Inter de São Paulo's Kléber Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 36th minute of play. César Alagoano made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Laércio Loureiro however managed to control. Inter de São Paulo's Yan Ceresso was substituted for César Alagoano. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

57 minutes into the match, Inter de São Paulo's Laércio Loureiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Kléber Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Pedro Donatello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Kléber Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Loureiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Inter de São Paulo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eurico Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yan Ceresso got a throw-in 82 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Laércio Loureiro. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Inter de São Paulo's Laércio Loureiro got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Inter de São Paulo made a substitution. Gerson Coelho replaced Laércio Loureiro. Gerson Coelho might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerson Coelho ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Kléber Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de São Paulo's Gerson Coelho. But to his dismay, Gerson Coelho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. When Pedro Donatello came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Inter de São Paulo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Donatello couldn't finish the play. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. After 98 minutes of play, Inter de São Paulo's Pedro Donatello made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Inter de São Paulo had won after a very even match.
