Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Saul Mambru started the match with the kick off. In the 3rdth minute of the game Rickard Ödman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Rickard Ödman came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Clube Atlético Paulista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rickard Ödman couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Rickard Ödman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Alex Chicote charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Chicote the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 8th minute. Rickard Ödman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Clube Atlético Paulista booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clube Atlético Paulista's Evaristo Gaúcho quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alex Chicote, made in the 20th minute of the game. In the 20th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saul Mambru in the 23rd minute of play. Rickard Ödman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Rickard Ödman had several of the Venezuela's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 27 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Jonathan Ferrant as he didn't even see the shot coming. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Atlético Paulista's Rickard Ödman. But to his dismay, Rickard Ödman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. A collision led to Clube Atlético Paulista getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Evaristo Gaúcho hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Rickard Ödman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Ödman in the 58th minute of play. Aden Couzens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 60th minute of play. Clube Atlético Paulista's Rickard Ödman got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Clube Atlético Paulista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 73rd minute of play forced Clube Atlético Paulista's goalkeeper Aden Couzens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saul Mambru's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. When Clube Atlético Paulista's Rickard Ödman in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. 83 minutes into the game, Rickard Ödman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Atlético Paulista's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aden Couzens came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rickard Ödman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Mambru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Clube Atlético Paulista fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
