Aden Couzens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clube Atlético Paulista's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Corbett Alonso in the 9th minute. The corner led Clube Atlético Paulista's Corbett Alonso to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Rickard Ödman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 15th minute of play forced Clube Atlético Paulista's goalkeeper Aden Couzens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aden Couzens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Clube Atlético Paulista's Rickard Ödman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 23rd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aden Couzens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aden Couzens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aden Couzens quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Aden Couzens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Clube Atlético Paulista were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Corbett Alonso took the corner. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Clube Atlético Paulista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aden Couzens having to interfere. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Aden Couzens made a huge save. 54 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aden Couzens, 1-2. Cristian Sancho scored 1-3 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aden Couzens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 61 minutes Clube Atlético Paulista's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Mambru in the 64th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Aden Couzens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute of the match Clube Atlético Paulista got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Corbett Alonso ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ecuador's goalie and right to Rickard Ödman. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ecuador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With a little luck, Clube Atlético Paulista's Aden Couzens got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Rickard Ödman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Atlético Paulista's supporters rose to their feet, but Rickard Ödman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Aden Couzens firmly grabbed it by the left post. Aden Couzens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aden Couzens having to interfere. Aden Couzens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 92nd minute of the match. Ecuador played a much better game than Clube Atlético Paulista and deserved their victory. The Clube Atlético Paulista players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
