Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Platon Quiroga went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Triana Rep. Ind. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neron Higuera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Zorita made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Midas Maestro sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Platon Quiroga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. Platon Quiroga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. Medero Valcarcel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. Abram Luque's late challenge caught a Triana Rep. Ind.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abram Luque helped the player get up and apologised. After 36 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Abram Luque. After 37 minutes of play, Triana Rep. Ind.'s Midas Maestro made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 46 minutes, Platon Quiroga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Triana Rep. Ind.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Platon Quiroga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Platon Quiroga to make the kick off. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Midas Maestro in the 51st minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Triana Rep. Ind.'s goalkeeper Medero Valcarcel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mateo Leguizamo. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Jesus Carvallo got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 66th minute, Platon Quiroga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 70 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Abram Luque. With a little luck, Triana Rep. Ind.'s Medero Valcarcel got control of the ball when Moises Fernandino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Midas Maestro, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Ricardo Zorita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Midas Maestro's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Midas Maestro went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. 92 minutes into the game, Platon Quiroga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
