Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Primo Sans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia B.F. and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd match minute, Academia B.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primo Sans to maneuver through the defense. After 8 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. After having played for 23 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of play forced Academia B.F.'s goalkeeper Vicente Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Catarinense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Primo Sans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Primo Sans dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 1-1. Primitivo Andino made in the 38th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Felix Montenegro immediately put the ball in play. In the 40th minute of the match, Wiliam Carioca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Wiliam Carioca succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 40th playminute. Academia B.F.'s Vicente Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Academia B.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Vicente Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Academia B.F.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Primo Sans stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Primo Sans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primo Sans in the 54th minute of play. Josué Godoi hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. But to his dismay, Michel Totti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. In the 91st minute, Academia B.F.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 94th minute, Michel Totti made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-4. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Academia B.F. had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
