With a little luck, Poulton-Le-Fylde's Richard Murunga got control of the ball when Finlay Stair tried to sneak it across the goal line. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Ereng in the 28th minute of the match. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Finlay Stair made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Jamaica's zone, John Alfie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Demonde Jacobson came out of the goal and John Alfie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Demonde Jacobson made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when David Ereng sent off a good shot on target. In the 56th minute Sudha Kitur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Wayan Freeman. Finlay Stair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Richard Murunga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Myles Ongao hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Finlay Stair took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Richard Murunga. Poulton-Le-Fylde's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
