Yuriy Babushkin had in the 25thth minute some difficulties stopping Tomas Illescas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Teodosio Ascencio took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. 35 minutes into the match, Teodosio Ascencio notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teodosio Ascencio in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Deportivo Messina's Yuriy Babushkin got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet.
