The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tanek Ostrowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 3rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Olympique Gdynia's Tanek Ostrowski got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tanek Ostrowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 8th minute of the match. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şota Arveladze in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 17th minute of play forced Olympique Gdynia's goalkeeper Tanek Ostrowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanek Ostrowski having to interfere. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şota Arveladze in the 22nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tanek Ostrowski saved Olympique Gdynia from getting behind. In the 30th minute Şota Arveladze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Tanek Ostrowski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 40th minute Czeslaw Domeracki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Czeslaw Domeracki was the one to do the kick off. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şota Arveladze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 62 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Prats. Despite close surveillance by the defense, Fabio-Roman Zabaleta managed to send off a shot that put the ball into the goal to the left of a disappointed goalkeeper. 1-2 in the 64th minute. The throw-in from Charles Darwin in the 67th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Milagros Fraga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tanek Ostrowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Tanek Ostrowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 71st minute of the match. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tirso Isasaga in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Ostrowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Eliseo Mina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peru's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olympique Gdynia the free kick. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Eliseo Mina hit a great ball. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. In the 92nd match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Mina to maneuver through the defense. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Olympique Gdynia's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
