Abraham Alguacil was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 17th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 19th play minute Isidoro Sarmiento came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised 谢建政. 1-0. 谢建政 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when 杨洋宽 came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Felipe Ros fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Felipe Ros a yellow card for diving instead. 苏强泉 charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 毛冰笑 made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 谢建政 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 谢建政 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, 杨洋宽 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 杨洋宽 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 63 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of 【粤】廣東水師提督軍務總兵官's 谢建政. 谢建政 was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th minute, Alex Cambeiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 谢建政 was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. During the 69th minute of the match 任辰勇 completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave 任辰勇 a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game.
