Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Los Diablos Rojos's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquilino Aguilera came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aquilino Aguilera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 4th minute of play. Aquilino Aguilera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 14 minutes, Ignacio Tancredo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Diablos Rojos and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Abraham Alguacil. In the 17th minute Doug Bermudez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Panama's Alex Cambeiro got a free kick in the 18th minute. Doug Bermudez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. That made the score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. When Ricardo Sidro fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Diablos Rojos's protests and gave Ricardo Sidro a yellow card for diving instead. Ricardo Sidro hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Tomas Berganza took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Aquilino Aguilera to make any attempt to save it. Aquilino Aguilera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 58th minute of play. The supporters of Los Diablos Rojos booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylan Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Maximo Cloyo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximo Cloyo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Isidoro Sarmiento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Berganza's late challenge caught a Los Diablos Rojos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Berganza helped the player get up and apologised. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Aquilino Aguilera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. Anastasio Gizon struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. In the 77th minute João Adolfo Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anastasio Gizon scored 3-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Adolfo Mota during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Panama's Tomas Berganza dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Cloyo in the 85th minute of play. Abraham Alguacil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Aguilera having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Felipe Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, João Adolfo Mota ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastasio Gizon in the 93rd minute of the match. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
