Cachoeiro-ES's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Roberto Motta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noel Seide breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Haiti booed when Cachoeiro-ES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th match minute, Haiti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Alphonse to maneuver through the defense. Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 15th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Noel Seide came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Cachoeiro-ES's Zé Roberto Motta. But to his dismay, Zé Roberto Motta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 21st match minute, Haiti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philippe Ambroise to maneuver through the defense. Noel Seide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Lucas in the 22nd minute of play. Luciano Abreu made in the 24th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Aníbal Negri. Noel Seide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Roberto Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Ortiz in the 26th minute of play forced Haiti's goalkeeper Noel Seide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haiti's Gesner Philippe got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 42 played minutes Cachoeiro-ES got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fernando Paraibano. After having played for 43 minutes, Jonathan Alphonse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haiti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Alphonse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Haiti booed when Cachoeiro-ES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvério Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Roberto Motta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aníbal Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Fernando Paraibano's late challenge caught a Haiti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cachoeiro-ES's Lauro de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Alphonse in the 65th minute of play. Noel Seide made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Roberto Motta in the 67th minute. Haiti's attentive Jean Marie Alcius managed to snatch the ball when Tiago Aparecido made a throw-in in the 70th minute of the game. Lauro de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Alphonse in the 72nd minute of play. After 73 minutes, João das Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cachoeiro-ES and the Haiti players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd minute, João das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philippe Ambroise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro de Senna having to interfere. After 80 minutes, Tiago Aparecido mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cachoeiro-ES and the Haiti players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cachoeiro-ES getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Tiago Aparecido hit a great ball. Philippe Ambroise recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute Jonathan Alphonse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. When Philippe Ambroise came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Haiti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philippe Ambroise couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute of the match Rodney Emmanuel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lauro de Senna skillfully saved the ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of Cachoeiro-ES were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Haiti side.
