The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A throw-in in the 4th minute of the game was made by Hakan Kaan with Igor Celio as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 6 minutes Şamaxı Bankirlər's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abelardo Bernabel who took care of the corner kick. In the 9th minute, Abelardo Bernabel made a precise shot to the right of Mänsur Rzayev. Şamaxı Bankirlər's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Abelardo Bernabel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mänsur Rzayev was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Ambrosio Dacio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oscar Mas went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Bernabel in the 22nd minute of play forced Şamaxı Bankirlər's goalkeeper Mänsur Rzayev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Şamaxı Bankirlər's goalkeeper Mänsur Rzayev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abelardo Bernabel. Mänsur Rzayev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toro Halland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Centeno's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abelardo Bernabel in the 28th minute. Ambrosio Dacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Mas in the 29th minute of play. Ambrosio Dacio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Druțu Cristian in the 33rd minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Centeno:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Şamaxı Bankirlər:s goal. In the 38th minute there was a penalty for Şamaxı Bankirlər. Druțu Cristian stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ambrosio Dacio. 1-2. If Victorio Matai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Ruy Faria got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oscar Mas was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Şamaxı Bankirlər defense, Toro Halland kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mänsur Rzayev. The Şamaxı Bankirlər fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mänsur Rzayev should have stopped the shot. Şamaxı Bankirlər's Mänsur Rzayev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Bernabel in the 54th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victorio Matai in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mänsur Rzayev saved Şamaxı Bankirlər from getting behind. In the 69th minute of the match Centeno got a corner. Şamaxı Bankirlər's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abelardo Bernabel ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Centeno's Abelardo Bernabel to fire away a dangerous shot which Mänsur Rzayev despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Şamaxı Bankirlər's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Bernabel came free, but Mänsur Rzayev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Ovando made in the 75th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Dariusz Adamski. Abelardo Bernabel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Mänsur Rzayev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes in the game Edgard Ovando did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Dariusz Adamski. A collision led to Centeno getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Victorio Matai hit a great ball. In the 83rd match minute, Centeno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Matai to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute Victorio Matai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mänsur Rzayev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Şamaxı Bankirlər getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Juan Badr hit a great ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
