Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Arnaldo Gabon got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 41st minute of the match, Arnaldo Gabon got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
