Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, Gladiadores's Blas Beila sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albino Belo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Albino Belo came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute Marciano Pettinelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marciano Pettinelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 86th minute Albino Belo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marciano Pettinelli made a great header on Gladiadores's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save.
