In the 29th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Cisquella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Anthony Alvarado hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcial Cisquella prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Claudio Antonangeli sent off a good shot on target. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudio Antonangeli to make the kick off. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julian Murillo had several of the The Handsome Wizards UTD's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 78 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Marcial Cisquella as he didn't even see the shot coming.
